  1. Hi Greg, Tom,
    On first watch of The Lie of the Land, I was slightly disappointed with this episode outcome. But after sitting down to a 4 episode whami WhoFest, I’ve changed my mind. And felt like the “Monk” story worked perfectly within the confines of a mid-season mini-arc.
    It’s difficult not to expect a mega-buck, James Bond style productions every week and I have to constantly remind myself that this is TV entertainment, created on a relativly small “shoestring” budget.
    Overall, I feel that season 10 is shaping up to be a winner. But on saying that, I’m also looking forward to new fresh perspectives that the Chibnall years ahead will hopefully provide, as I feel that Mr Moff is reusing old “tropes”. {The power of love, photos, leaves etc???}
    Tropes, what a great word?
    Anyway, still no news on the Doctor’s next regeneration???
    So I got to thinking, could the “good” Missy regenerate into a Simms’ Doctor? becoming the next incarnation?
    Now that I’d like to see. Any thoughts? Until then, bring on the Lizard-folk ;) TT

  2. Hiya lads,
    Glad you guys decided to take a week off. I understand, a rolling commentary as the plot is unravelling in front of you, can’t be easy to di-sect, and score.
    Sometimes, just best to chillax, sit back and enjoy the ride…. and its a doozie, so far. I thought the final innings from Mark Gatiss was a jolly good weez! One that knocks his previous episodes out of the park. With fabo prosthetics to boot. A great Who one off adventure, leading us up to a wonderful, yet teary Capaldi finally. 54 years! ha! See, how fast those regenerations happen boys?……. 1963 was really 6 months ago. I’m putting it all down to distortions in time??? Big love TT
