First ‘Black Panther’ Poster Released; Teaser Trailer To Air During NBA Finals
  |  @   |

Marvel Studios has just dropped the first teaser poster for Ryan Coogler‘s (Creed) Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman, who reprises the titular character which debuted in Captain America: Civil War. Check out the poster here below.

Based on previous reports, the film will have a Game of Thrones-esque story that will see our hero battling to keep the throne of Wakanda.

But that’s not all. The first teaser trailer for the film is set to be released tonight during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

It’s still not clear what will be seen in this trailer, but with the film hitting theaters in February 2018, it will probably live up to being a teaser. There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done before it looks like a final product. However, I am of two minds on this. For one thing, it’s great we will be getting to see the first teaser for Black Panther this early, and it should put Cleveland Cavilers’ fans mind at ease knowing that at least they got a new trailer out of this considering their beloved team could be eliminated tonight. But if they are not swept, then they still got a first look at the Black Panther trailer, but are still three games behind. Okay, this is getting into sports territory, so that is for another time.

Anyway, the poster sees T’Challa (Boseman) sitting on the Wakandian throne. Seeing as he is king of the technologically advanced nation, it only seems fitting we see him sit in it. And the architecture fits what we’ve seen in concept art. Other than that, there isn’t really much else to look at.

Here’s the official plot synopsis Black Panther:

Black Panther follows T’Challa, who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically-advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, and Martin Freeman also star.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther opens in theaters on February 16, 2018.

And as a reminder, be sure to watch Game 4 of the NBA finals for the first Black Panther teaser.
