The cast of the upcoming Star Trek: Discovery television series made an appearance this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, where a new trailer was debuted.
Watch the new trailer here below.
Sonequa Martin-Green, who is best known for her role as Sasha on AMC’s The Walking Dead, stars as First Officer Michael Burnham. It was revealed at SDCC that her character is Spock’s adoptive sister. She was raised from a young age by Spock’s Vulcan father Sarek (James Frain) and human mother Amanda after the death of her parents.
We saw the first trailer for the series back in May, but this new one revealed some new footage from the 15-episode series that’s coming this Fall. We see Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) as Captain Lorca, as well as Rainn Wilson as Harry Mudd. Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Shazad Latif, and Mary Wiseman also star.
Star Trek: Discovery will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship, new characters and new missions, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.
Star Trek: Discovery will premiere on September 24, 2017 on CBS All Access, with a launch on Netflix on Monday, September 25 2017.
Seeing some mis-reporting on certain news portals. Michael Burnham is Spock's adoptive sister, NOT half-sister. #StarTrekDiscovery
