This weekend in Iselin, New Jersey, the Garden State becomes the true state of horror. The 2017 New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival takes over the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel starting Friday evening, September 22nd, running through Sunday night the 24th. The brainchild of filmmaker/producer Ryan Scott Weber and Asbury Comic Con founder Rob Bruce, the convention welcomes over 30 celebrity guests, 100 vendors, special events, film screenings, and Q&A panels scheduled throughout the weekend.

The biggest attraction is a special 2-night performance from Crispin Hellion Glover (Back to the Future, Willard). He will be performing a live dramatic narration of 8 illustrated books while the images are projected behind him. He will be doing Q&A and signing books after the shows.

There are a number of huge reunions set up including, Sean Astin and Kerri Green from The Goonies. Astin also famously starred in the Lord of the Rings films and will appear in the upcoming second season of Stranger Things. Reunions are also slated for Rob Zombie’s Halloween, including both actors who portrayed Michael Myers, Daeg Faerch and Tyler Mane; Night of the Demons (1988), Wes Craven’s People Under the Stairs (1991), and Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever (2002). Barry Bostwick of Rocky Horror Picture Show will be there as will Marky Ramone, drummer for The Ramones.

The festival will also screen several films, including Troma’s Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol. 2 and Justin Seaman’s indie horror gem The Barn on Friday night.

The Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel is located at 515 US-1, Iselin, NJ, 08830. Check out the entire guest list and schedule of screenings, Q&As, and photo ops at the convention website, newjerseyhorrorcon.com.
