It’s been widely assumed that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be a prequel because the previous game was set at the end of the wild west. Now we know for sure.
Rockstar Games has released a brand new trailer for the game, which introduces who you’ll be playing as, a character named Arthur Morgan, and confirms that the game is indeed a prequel.

The trailer is a little bit longer than the first trailer we saw, but still pretty short. Rockstar definitely isn’t giving it all away at once. Still, fans who have been anxiously awaiting a sequel for the past seven years will take it with a giant smile on their face.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released in the spring of 2018, and you’ll be able to pre-order it for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when available.
