First Trailer For Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles 2’ Is Finally Here
  |  @   |

The time has finally come for Pixar to reveal the first teaser trailer for The Incredibles 2, the long-awaited sequel that everyone has been asking for since the end of the first movie teased one back in 2004.

While Pixar prides itself in its unique and original storytelling, the acclaimed animation studio does revisit their properties from time to time. Some are hits, others are misses, but they would not have a sequel or a prequel without a good reason. So imagine how fans reacted to the news that they would be getting a sequel to the film that probably deserves a sequel above all other Pixar films.

Check it out below along with a poster.

Brad Bird returns as director. Having directed the first, Bird has been asked constantly if there would be The Incredibles 2. But he always gave the same answer, that he would do it if there was a good story to tell. Now it looks like he cracked the code.

D23 fans got a very early glimpse of the film of Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible trying to take care of his infant son, Jack Jack. But he learns that he shouldn’t leave his son alone, as Jack Jack slipped away to deal with a raccoon problem. The thing is, Jack Jack doesn’t know how to use his powers just yet, and getting rid of the raccoon becomes more of a spectacle than it should be. It was silly and just pure fun. But it was more of a reintroduction for fans.

Now the teaser is a teaser in its purist form. We see Jack Jack phase through a wall, and then use his various powers while crawling, only to reveal the film’s iconic I logo with his eye beams. We then get a quick snippet of Jack Jack and Bob (Craig T. Nelson) together, with the Incredible patriarch getting excited that his son has powers. Which quickly turns into disgust when Jack Jack zaps a portion of his already limited hair.

The Incredibles 2 sees the return of Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, and Samuel L. Jackson, all whom are reprising their respective roles. They’re joined by Huck Milner.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2″ – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again””which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on June 15, 2018.

  1. Thank you for posting this, but I am glad I skipped the article and went right to the trailer first. Your article totally spoils the trailer.
