Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry recently directed a Christmas commercial titled “Moz the Monster” for the United Kingdom department store chain John Lewis.

In the holiday ad a young boy deals with a monster living under his bed, as monsters are known to do, set to a cover of The Beatles’ “Golden Slumbers.” You can check it out below.

In addition to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Gondry also directed Human Nature, The Science of Sleep, Be Kind Rewind, The Green Hornet, The We and the I, Mood Indigo, Microbe & Gasoline, an episode of Flight of the Conchords, and a bunch of shorts and music videos.

Joe befriends a noisy Monster under his bed but the two have so much fun together that he can’t get to sleep, leaving him tired by day. For Christmas Joe receives a gift to help him finally get a good night’s sleep.
