Thor: Ragnarok was my favorite of the three MCU films that came out last year and I think it’s one of the better MCU films ever. Where the first two Thor films didn’t fully connect with audiences, Ragnarok gives a full tonal shift combining the established characters with a new sense of fun and spirit. This shift is due mostly to new director Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows). Everything feels different for the better in Thor’s third solo adventure with the colors brighter, the dialogue quippier, characters more memorable, and scenery more extravagant. Chris Hemsworth plays Thor, the God of Thunder, for the fifth time, this time against his older and stronger sister, the previously banished Hela (Cate Blanchett). While the movie made over $300 million in the U.S., if you missed it, the new 4K Ultra HD/Blu-Ray combo pack is available now!

The 4K Ultra HD is like watching the film in the theaters with ultra high-definition picture and the loudest and clearest audio. The Blu-Ray comes loaded with special features.

Bonus Features

Getting in touch with your inner Thor – A hilarious 5-minute feature focused on Chris Hemsworth and how he’s grown with the role of Thor over 7 years and 5 films. Everyone gushes about how fun and charming he is, with Jeff Goldblum stealing the scene as usual by calling him, “cute as Christmas.”

Unstoppable Women: Hela & Valkyrie – A detailed look at two of the most kickass character on Thor: Ragnarok and the actresses who play them. Cate Blanchett is a two-time Oscar winner, and everyone was excited to be on set with her to see what she would bring to the role of Hela, Marvel’s first female lead villain. Tessa Thompson is Valkyrie, a new type of heroine who enjoys fighting like a kickass woman!

Finding Korg – Korg is played by director Taika Waititi and is one of the best supporting characters in Thor: Ragnarok. Waititi, if you’ve seen his independent work, is a total comedian, and the cast and crew love working with him. We see him in costume, in motion-capture for Korg and everything he says is genuinely funny.

Sakaar: On the Edge of the Known and the Unknown – Behind the scenes look at the crazy world of Thor: Ragnarok, run by the Grandmaster (Goldblum). This is one of the most beautiful and colorful sceneries ever used in a film, created mostly with CGI. It’s described as the “toilet of the universe,” and the “most audacious set ever built.” We get to watch Hemsworth, Goldblum, Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) roam around this new awesome planet and wreak havoc.

Journey into Mystery – A look at the comic inspirations for Ragnarok ranging back to Jack Kirby and Stan Lee to Walt Simonson’s work in Marvel to the famous Planet Hulk story.

Marvel Studios: The First 10 Years – This is just a phenomenal extended preview for Avengers: Infinity War by going through the 18 films which lead up to it over the decade, starting with the first Iron Man (2008).

Team Darryl – Poor Darryl gets a new roommate once Thor leaves”¦ The Grandmaster. Hilarity ensues.

8-Bit Sequences – There are two amazing Super Mario-esque 8-bit sequences including an awesome one for the film’s final bridge battle.

Also included are Audio Commentaries, Deleted Scenes, and More…

Thor: Ragnarok is the perfect addition to your collection, a must-own for any MCU fan. The 4K Ultra HD is stunning to behold and the special features, as usual with an MCU film, are almost as much fun as the film itself. Pick up the Thor: Ragnarok 4K Ultra HD/Blu-Ray/Digital combo pack in stores now.
