We’ve seen some great promos for the highly anticipated sequel Deadpool 2, such as the Bob Ross parody “Wet on Wet,” or the Flashdance-inspired poster, or the “Meet Cable” video.

But now it’s time to get serious. As serious as Deadpool can get, anyway. 20th Century Fox has finally released the first official trailer for the follow-up, and you can give it a watch below.

SYNOPSIS:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

The sequel once again stars Ryan Reynolds in the title role, joined on the cast by Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jack Kesy. Reynolds also co-wrote the screenplay along with Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and produces alongside Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner. Directing is David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde).
