Starz’s Outlander Renewed For An Additional 2 Seasons!
  |  @   |

Before we even got to watch season 4 of Starz’s sweeping epic romance, Outlander, and before they even finish filming it, Starz has announced that the show has been renewed for a 5th and 6th season.

More below.

Last season brought Claire and Jamie back together after being apart in different centuries for years. They went to the New World to rescue Young Ian, and were shipwrecked in Georgia. How do they feel about the possibilities of a new life? Check out the teaser below.

Each season of the hit series is based on one novel in Diana Gabaldon‘s book series of the same name, with season 4 based on Drums of Autumn. Seasons 5 and 6 will be based on her 5th and 6th books, The Fiery Cross and A Breath of Snow and Ashes. I don’t want to spoil anything, but more reunions are coming!

The series stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan as Claire and Janie Fraser, and Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton as Roger Wakefield and Brianna Randall.

Season 4 synopsis:

Season 3 of Outlander picks up with Jamie and Claire, separated by continents and centuries, as they attempt to make a life apart from one another, each haunted by the memory of their lost love.

Outlander returns for season 4 this November on Starz.
