Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2

Hot off the reveal of new images, Disney has just released a new trailer and poster for Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. The sequel continues the adventures of Ralph (John C. Reilly), a retro arcade game sprite, who must venture into the Internet with fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. But once they enter the world wide web, they realize that they aren’t at Litwak’s arcade anymore. Check out the newest trailer and poster here below.

While the new images gave us a look at just how expansive the Internet is, this newest trailer proves that Wreck-It Ralph 2 has plenty of world-building potential. Honestly, there was no other place to go, other than the Internet. Based on what we have seen so far, through previous trailers and the preview at D23, Ralph and Vanellope will be getting into a lot of trouble. Something you don’t want to do when on the Internet.

The sequel will also feature one of the rare times that all of the Disney princesses – yes including Merida from Pixar’s Brave – will appear in one film. Something that’s never been done. It was one of the most talked about scenes at the D23 Expo. And it wasn’t just a small tease for the fans either, as an image of it popped up recently. I can’t wait to see how that entire sequence plays out.

But the film isn’t just about that. The first Wreck-It Ralph was a joyous call back to the classic arcade games of the past. It also had a new nodding easter egg to some console games. So it should be fun to see what other fun things they’ve hidden in plain sight. There’s also a new poster to look at, which sees Vanellope riding on a cursor, while Ralph hangs on for dear life.

And just like its predecessor, the sequel is pretty meta, with the princesses knowing what qualifies to be a Disney Princess. And since Vanellope and Ralph will be inside the Internet, it opens the door for all kinds of interactions, which can be a bit chaotic since Disney also owns Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. But it looks like it is all in good fun. And directors Rich Moore (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph) and Phil Johnston (Wreck-It Ralph) aren’t going to waste an opportunity like this with cheap humor.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2″ leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet””which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet””the netizens””to help navigate their way, including a website entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.” Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Cedar Rapids,” co-writer “Zootopia,”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-Ralph 2″ hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.

Taraji P. Henson, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Alan Tudyk also star.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 will open in theaters this Fall on November 21, 2018.
