Ant-Man and the Wasp

It is going to be interesting to see where the Marvel Cinematic Universe goes from here after the fallout of Avengers: Infinity War. But one thing is for sure, Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the kind of uplifting comedy we need to see after Infinity War‘s incredibly sad ending.

Disney has released a set of new character posters for the film, which reveals our first look at Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne. Check out all of them, below.

There’s really nothing to break down here, but this first look at the first Wasp. There seems to be some semblance of the original Wasp costume underneath that dystopian garb. But other than that, this is pretty much the character posters you would get with every superhero film.

In addition to our first look at Janet Van Dyne, there are also looks at Ant-Man, Wasp, Foster, Ghost, Pym, and more.

Here’s the official synopsis for Ant-Man and the Wasp:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes “Ant Man and the Wasp,” a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly return to play Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne. Michael Peña, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, and Michael Douglas also return to reprise their respective roles. They are joined by Pfeiffer Walton Goggins, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Randall Park, and Laurence Fishburne.

Written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, and Rudd, the film is directed by Peyton Reed.

Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in theaters on July 7, 2018. And be sure to check out our coverage of the film here.
