E3 2018: First Gameplay From Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’
  |  @   |

It’s been two years now since we were first introduced to Death Stranding, the latest game from Hideo Kojima, at E3 2016, and tonight at E3 2018 we got our first peek at actual gameplay.

Another lengthy trailer for the game was shown, clocking in at over eight minutes and presenting plenty of new cinematic footage mixed with the aforementioned first looks at the game in action. No one still has any freakin’ clue what’s going on in this one, but it is progressing toward finally making its way to our confused eyes.

Thankfully we now have a brief description of Death Stranding to shed a little bit of light on what it’s about, and you can find that below along with the new trailer.

From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all new, genre defining experience for the PlayStation®4. Besieged by death’s tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.

The new trailer also reveals two new additions to the game’s cast, Léa Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner. They join Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Guillermo del Toro.

No official release date has been set for Death Stranding yet, but you’ll be able to pre-order yourself a copy over at Amazon when it’s available if you already know you’re getting it.
