Best known for his comedic performances in movies like Superbad and 21 Jump Street and his two Academy Award-nominated performances in The Wolf of Wall Street and Moneyball, Jonah Hill steps behind the camera for Mid90s, his feature directorial debut.

An official trailer for the film has been released by A24, and it’s one that will no doubt make anyone who grew up in the ’90s feel a little nostalgic. It follows a teenage boy with a rough home life and a love for skateboarding’s summer in Los Angeles.

You can read a brief description of Mid90s and check out the trailer along with a poster below.

Written and directed by Jonah Hill, Mid 90s follows Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in 90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.

Starring in the movie is Sunny Suljic (The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, “Boy” in God of War), Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Alien: Covenant), and Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea, Lady Bird).

Mid90s will be released on October 19th.
