‘Halloween’ Trailer: There’s A Reason You’re Supposed To Be Afraid Of This Night
  |  @   |

Universal Pictures has released the latest trailer for David Gordon Green‘s Halloween, a new entry in the classic horror franchise.

The film sees Jamie Lee Curtis returning to reprise her role as Laurie Strode, who must confront Michael Myers one final time. Check out the new trailer and a poster below

Green, Danny McBride, and Jeff Fradley have all crafted a story that will breathe new life into a franchise that has had its ups and downs. The film itself will act as a reboot and a sequel to John Carpenter‘s original Halloween. Carpenter himself spent a little time consulting Green on the film’s direction.

In the film, we will see that Laurie has spent the past 40 years of her life in hiding, preparing herself for Michael Myers’ inevitable return. While most would call her paranoid, it turns out Myers escaped from his mental asylum imprisonment, and now it will be up to Laurie to stop him, at any cost.

By the looks of things, the film will have all the bells and whistles of a Halloween film. The signature character, the music, the tone, everything about it just screams Halloween. And so far, the early reactions have been promising. Of course, it will be up to the audience to judge whether or not we can extend Myers’ killing spree to another sequel.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Master of horror John Carpenter executive produces and serves as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity). Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.

Also starring in the movie is Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Virginia Gardner, Will Patton, Toby Huss, Miles Robbins, Jefferson Hall, Haluk Bilginer, Omar J. Dorsey, Christopher Allen Nelson, Nick Castle, and James Jude Courtney.

Halloween will be released in theaters on October 19th.
