Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross To Score HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series
  |  @   |

HBO’s series based on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons comic Watchmen has found some folks to make some music for it.

It’s been announced that Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who won an Academy Award for their work scoring David Fincher’s The Social Network and also composed scores for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl, have joined the series.

Reznor made the announcement via Instagram:

Things have been moving along fairly quickly for the series recently. We first heard that HBO was considering it almost three years ago now, but since LOST and The Leftovers co-creator Damon Lindelof came on board last year business has really picked up.

HBO ordered a pilot episode one year ago tomorrow, and has since given it a full series order. At the beginning of this year, it was announced that Nicole Kassell would be directing the pilot episode.

Not long after that Lindelof revealed that it would actually be an original story, not a direct adaptation of Gibbons and Moore’s comic like Zack Snyder’s 2009 movie adaptation was. The very next day, we found who would be starring in at least the pilot episode. Not long after that, the great Jeremy Irons joined the cast as well.

Which brings us to today’s addition of Reznor and Ross. Now we continue waiting for our first peek at HBO’s Watchmen.
