Toy Story 4 will bring Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), and the rest of the toys back to town this year. Disney”¢Pixar’s longest-running franchise will see our favorite toys in an all-new adventure of discovery and self-discovery. Check out the latest look at the highly anticipated sequel below, which aired during Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The spot follows a long line of teasers that introduced some familiar faces as well as new characters we will see in the upcoming film. Among those new characters is a toy called Forky (Tony Hale), a spork with eyes and Chenille stems. The sequel also marks the return of Bo Beep, who was noticeably absent in Toy Story 3.
Now this new trailer gives us a slight idea of what that the road trip and reunion will look like. Of course, these toys will get into all sorts of trouble, which includes Buzz Lightyear somehow ending up being a prize at a small-town carnival. Something that does not sit well with the fluffy Ducky (Keagan Michael-Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele). The two try to present themselves as the Alpha toy, which Buzz would be able give them if they just let him be. Of course, they aren’t having it, and the only way to resolve the situation is for Buzz to make use of his visor. Which makes for one hilarious moment.
Keanu Reeves and Patricia Arquette also have voice-over roles.
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney”¢Pixar’s “Toy Story 4″ ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
Toy Story 4 also features the voice cast of Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jeff Pidgeon, and Blake Clark. It opens in theaters on June 21, 2019.
