Official Trailer For ‘Z Nation’ Prequel ‘Black Summer’ Released By Netflix

There’s no shortage of zombie movies, TV shows, video games, and so on out there to consume at will. But if you simply can’t get enough of the walking dead never fear, there’s always more on the way.

Netflix has released an official trailer for Black Summer, an upcoming zombie series starring Jamie King (Sin City, Pearl Harbor). And this one will no doubt be of great interest to fans of the canceled SYFY series Z Nation, as it’s a prequel set in the same universe.

ABOUT:

A prequel set in the Z Nation universe, Black Summer is a new series introducing all new characters from every walk of life. Jamie King (Hart of Dixie) stars as a mother, torn from her daughter, who embarks upon a harrowing journey, stopping at nothing to find her. Thrust alongside a small group of American refugees, she must brave a hostile new world and make brutal decisions during the most deadly summer of a zombie apocalypse.

The series is created by Z Nation co-creator, writer, and executive producer Karl Schaefer and writer and co-executive producer John Hyams.

The first season of Black Summer is set to arrive on Netflix on April 11th.

Set in the dark, early days of a zombie apocalypse, BLACK SUMMER stars Jaime King as Rose, a mother torn from her daughter who embarks upon a harrowing journey to find her. Thrust alongside a small group of American refugees, these complete strangers must find the strength they need to fight their way back to loved ones. But in order for Rose and her team to brave this hostile new world, they will need to make brutal decisions to contend with zombies – and each other. Season 1 of Black Summer premieres April 11 on Netflix!
