There’s a little superhero movie coming out at the end of the month, you might of heard of it? It’s called Avengers: Endgame. Tickets went up this morning for pre-sale and if you know a little something about this upcoming Marvel sequel, then you won’t be surprised to learn that the rush for tickets crashed sites like Fandango and AMC. But it looks like things are up and running again, so don’t give up!
In the meantime, you have 24 days to catch up, if necessary, with the 22 existing movies of the MCU before the theatrical release of Avengers: Endgame on April 26, 2019. (That’s about a movie a day, totally doable!) But, if you are all caught up, you can check out this “special look” trailer that Marvel released today, which contains some pretty cool footage. Check it out here below.
There has been some speculation and debate over the last few weeks on whether anything that we’ve seen in the trailers or TV spots will actually appear in Avengers: Endgame. With the way that Infinity War and Endgame were shot – many of the actors got partial or fake scripts – it stands to reason that some of it may not appear in the film at all. That being said, everyone will be excited to see the founding MCU Avengers, which include Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) come together once more to fight Thanos (Josh Brolin).
Here’s the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.
Yeah, that’s pretty vague. But completely understandable considering that this is the sequel that everyone has been waiting for. But not only do we get to see some heroes reunite on a new battlefield, we get to see and hear Thanos speak once more. The Mad Titan has been out of sight and silent for the majority of the Endgame marketing campaign. While there are images of comforting embraces and rally cries, Thanos delivers yet another menacing message Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. “You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.”
He seems confident that he can take on a group of Avengers who will live up to their name.
We shall see if they can.
Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on April 26, 2019.
