Official Trailer Released For Sci-Fi Drama ‘Ad Astra’ Starring Brad Pitt

20th Century Fox has released an official trailer for Ad Astra, an upcoming sci-fi drama.

The movie stars Brad Pitt as an astronaut on a mission to the edge of the solar system seeking answers to a mystery that involves his father and a threat to our planet. You can find the trailer along with a brief synopsis and a poster below.

SYNOPSIS:

Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.

Starring alongside Pitt in Ad Astra is Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, and Donald Sutherland.

The movie was directed by James Gray, whose previous credits include The Yards, We Own the Night, Two Lovers, The Immigrant, and The Lost City of Z. Gray also co-wrote the screenplay with Ethan Gross, who was a writer and story editor on the TV series Fringe.

Pitt along with Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, James Gray, Anthony Katagas, Rodrigo Teixeira, and Arnon Milchan are producers on the film.

Ad Astra is set to be released in theaters on September 20th.
