‘Bond 25’ Will Be Known As ‘No Time To Die’

The 25th installment of the James Bond film franchise has been going by its unofficial title, Bond 25. But that ends today.

The folks behind the film, which once again stars Daniel Craig as the iconic British MI6 spy, have titled the film No Time To Die. More on the report, below.

The official James Bond Twitter account confirmed the news earlier today and paired it with a nice motion graphic poster of Craig as Bond, walking across from one side of the screen to the next, before stopping to turning to you:

There has been much speculation and rumors as to what the film could be about. As far as we know Bond has retired in Jamaica, only to come out of it when a new threat arises, a threat that only he can stop. Of course, it will have more depth and substance to it than that. Especially with a title like that.

This is supposedly Craig’s final film as Bond, and he will be joined by familiar faces like Ralph Fiennes, who returns to play M, the head of MI6; Naomie Harris, reprising her role as MoneyPenny; Ben Whishaw, back again as the tech-savvy gadget handy Q; Jeffery Wright as Felix Leiter; and Léa Seydoux returning to play Madeleine Swann.

Newcomers include Rami Malek, who will play the newest Bond villain; Lashana Lynch as someone who may take the 007 code name; and Ana de Armas.

As for the title, it may suggest that Bond as a character will live on – even though he will eventually be played by a new actor – as he has “No time to die.” It seems like an appropriate title for a Bond film as well. Unlike some of the more confusing ones like Quantum of Solace.

No Time To Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, and the screenplay is co-written by Scott Z. Burns, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Fukunaga.
