2019 Emmy Award Winners: HBO’s ‘Game Of Thrones’, Amazon’s ‘Fleabag’ Take Top Honors
  |  @   |

The 2019 Emmy Awards ceremony was held on Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and for the first time in its 71 year history, there was no host. An animated Homer Simpson, everyone’s favorite TV dad, tried to open the annual TV event, though that was short-lived when a giant piano fell on him. This left Anthony Anderson scrambling to put things together and Bryan Cranston to talk about the history of TV.

Winners included Game of Thrones, Fleabag, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Check out the full list of nominees with winners in bold here below.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel came home with with two outstanding supporting performances from Tony Shaloub and Alex Borstein. Meanwhile, Fleabag was also a big winner, taking home two of the night’s top awards, Outstanding Comedy Series and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (she also got the writing award).

On The HBO side of things, Chernobyl won three awards, including Outstanding Limited Series.
