NJ Horror Con and Film Festival 2019 Is BACK Columbus Day Weekend
  |  @   |

The 2019 New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival will return to its now-established home at the Showboat Hotel on the Atlantic City Boardwalk later this month from October 11th – 13th. The semi-annual event is put on by Ryan Scott Weber and Comic Book Men producer Rob Bruce. They have outdone themselves this time with a huge guest list, a 3-day film fest, and tons of panels, Q&As, and other fan friendly events. With Halloween in season, you’ll definitely want to make it out to Showboat this Columbus Day weekend.

Highlighting the celebrity guest list is Charlie Sheen. I’ve been going to conventions for over 15 years and this is the first time I’ve seen Sheen on a guest list. He will be there taking photos and signing Saturday, October 12th ONLY. The star of classics like Platoon and Major League and genre fair like the Scary Movie films, Sheen’s impact on pop culture goes back 30+ years.

Joining the Wild Thing is Christina Ricci, star of The Addams Family films, Sleepy Hollow, Cursed, and Casper. The veteran genre actress with over 75 credits on IMDb and one of the most recognizable faces in the film industry will join the con Friday and Saturday only.

More than 30 additional guests from the world of horror, comedy, pro wrestling, and music will be there including co-founder of KISS Peter Criss, Carmen Electra, Steve Guttenberg, Heather Langenkamp, Olympic Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, the Soska Sisters, Edward Furlong, genre queen Tiffany Shepis, and many more. The NJ Horror Con will also feature special reunion photo ops with cast members from Police Academy, Spaceballs, Frankenhooker, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

What helps set New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival aside from other cons is the special fan-friendly events they have throughout the weekend. There is a slew of panels and Q&As set scheduled, and in what has become NJ Horror Con tradition, Scaryoke will takeover the Showboat Saturday night hosted by Police Academy and Spaceballs‘ own Michael Winslow! Saturday night will also feature the Film Festival Awards, and the film festival sponsored by Wild Eye Releasing, will continue on through Sunday.

The convention will also feature an entire casino floor full of vendors selling all sorts of horror-themed merchandise from Funko Pops to DVDs to greeting cards and everything in between. Go to newjerseyhorrorcon.com for tickets, pro photo ops, full guest list, film festival and panel schedules, and more. With Halloween around the corner, there’s no better way to spend a Fall weekend in October than at the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival.
