Sony Pictures Entertainment has released an international trailer for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, the upcoming movie about Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood‘s Fred Rogers which stars two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks as the beloved children’s show host. An official trailer was released back in July.

The movie is based on the true story of a friendship that developed between Fred Rogers and a journalist (played by Matthew Rhys) who was tasked with doing a report on Rogers.

SYNOPSIS:

Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about kindness, love and forgiveness from America’s most beloved neighbor.

Also starring in the movie is Christine Lahti, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Cooper, Enrico Colantoni, Wendy Makkena, and Tammy Blanchard.

It is directed by Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Can You Ever Forgive Me?), and Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Transparent) wrote the screenplay.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood will be released on November 22nd.
