The Yuuzhan Vong are coming! That is everyone’s fear in Star Wars: Invasion-Revelations #3.
Imagine Nina’s surprise when she realizes that not only is her mother a Yuuzhin Vong, but so is she. As if that wasn’t enough, there is another Yuuzhin Vong about the size of a tomato that has called in her forces, and now everyone is in a panic, because well, they have to evacuate the planet or they are all going to die.

I want to say upfront that I have not read the other books in the Kato Origins line. Normally this isn’t that big of a hindrance when reading a single issue. There is normally a brief recap, and then plenty of information to keep you in the know. This isn’t necessarily the case, and I’ll get to why that is in a moment.

Zorro Rides Again #2 Written by Matt Wagner

I’ve always found Zorro interesting, although I sometimes confuse him with the Lone Ranger. (Even though the Ranger has a sidekick and Zorro doesn’t, figure that out.) Zorro Rides Again is the kind of comic book that shows why comic books get to keep the word book in their name. This book takes place in a Spanish colony, where corruption runs rampant, and the weak need to be defended, by none other than Zorro!
One of my favorite time periods in the Star Wars universe is the Old Republic. The original game for Xbox is one of my all time favorites. It is with this background that I dove into Star Wars: The Old Republic #4.
This issue follows two Jedi spies who are on an Imperial ship. Here we learn what is making it possible for the Empire to build their power weapons and ships so quickly, the Sun Razer. The Sun Razer harvests the energy of the Sun and allows the Empire to use the energy. One of the Jedi ends up having worked on the slave planet that built the prototype, and he is dealing with the guilt of not stopping the Sun Razer from being built.

So it’s finally here! The new Ultimate version of Spider-Man will debut in his own series on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Ultimate Spider-Man #1.
We got a sneak peek at the new Spider-Man Miles Morales last month in Ultimate Comics Fallout #4. When the news hit that the new Spidey would be a half-black, half-Hispanic character, the internet was a buzzing. Now, the character has his first solo story in Ultimate Spider-Man #1, which launches a new ongoing comic book series at Marvel Comics.
