Significantly Dated: ’12:34:56 7/8/9’

Forget December 21, 2012. Those Mayan’s wouldn’t know a significant date if they stared at the Sun and the Moon and the stars for thousands of years from huge monuments built specifically to track the movements of these objects throughout the heavens and their unique relationship to the tiny speck of dirt we call earth. PAH!

Tomorrow is 07/08/09. So at 12.34 and 56 seconds (both AM and PM) it will be — I am told —

12:34:56 7/8/9.

Geeks Gettin’ Lucky? SoulGeek: A Dating Site For Geek Girls & Guys

Valentine’s Day as a geek can typically be described in one of the following ways: 1) A second Christmas in which both people get a present that can only be found inside the pages of a Previews catalog or 2) A somewhat to extremely lonely night of rereading Twilight* for the umpteenth time.

SoulGeek aims to eliminate fanboy (or fangirl) loneliness by offering a dating site specifically tailored for geeks, according to founder Dino Andrade, who started the network after discovering how difficult it was to meet people in his own experiences.

As a seasoned voice actor of many cartoons and video games, it was only natural that Andrade would fall in love with Mary Kay Bergman, famously known for creating and performing all the original female roles on South Park (including the Blame Canada song!!). When she tragically passed away in November of 1999, the two had been married for over a decade.

It took years to recover from the loss, but eventually he decided to get back on the saddle, according to Andrade, who said the most difficult part about it was being a geek.

Book of Geek: The New 7 Wonders Foundation

This is awesome.

Firstly, did you even KNOW that of the seven wonders of the world, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, only the Pyramid still stands?!?!?!

All of these other magnificent man-made monuments were either destroyed by earthquake, maliciously burned down, or ceremonially ripped to pieces by Christians. (Jeez, literally!)

So, given that we have such magnificent and “still standing” testaments to our ability to build awesome things, why not elect some new ones?

Well, that is just what the New 7 Wonders Foundation is all about. On my favorite date of this year “07.07.07” the New 7 Wonders Foundation will be holding a party of olympic proportions in Portugal and will name the finalists.

I implore you vote HERE and make a stand for the new 7 wonders. Asia and the Mediterranean are off the charts with votes, but Europe and America are sadly lacking, with only a few days left, we got to get some votes in! You can vote by phone or Internet.

Prophetic numerations?

Geeks, hear me now. On Sunday the sixth of May, in the great year of our G.o.D two thousand and seven, at the best moment of the party – that being two hours, three minutes, and four seconds in the good old Ante Meridiem (as apposed to Amplitude Modulation) — this is what the date and time will look like:

This will never ever ever ever ever happen again (except elsewhere in the world where the day comes before the month as one describes the date — and I guess in 100 years).

Mind you, you could say that about any date and time down to the very second, but it will not seem half as interesting as this, will it geeks? (he said, rhetorically) is the one I’m really waiting for!
