  |  @   |

Midnight tonight, Friday, September 4, 2015, begins Force Friday, the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys, collectibles, and more. Ahead of this major sales event, an unboxing of the items was streamed live online today.

One of the items revealed today BB-8 by Sphero, a baseball-sized remote-control version of the rolling ball droid from the upcoming sequel. This “app-enabled Droid” is controlled by the user via an app for iOS or Android devices and has three modes: Driving, Holographic Messaging, and Patrol.

Watch the video here below of the BB-8 toy in action. Also check out the very lengthy (4 hours!) unboxing video that shows off all the items coming up for sale tonight, including BB-8 (which will run about $150), the obligatory (yet awesome) LEGO variations, HASBRO action figures, and much more.

Toy conventions and Comic-Cons are the places to be at for the exclusive limited-edition high-end toys that every collector wants to have. Some people even camp out to see a live unboxing of these highly-detailed toys. But in the age of Periscope, and more live-streaming content, fans around the world are given the opportunity to be right there to see it for themselves.

And now Disney Consumer Products has announced that ahead of Force Friday, they will be holding a Star Wars: The Force Awakens toy unboxing phenomenon event this September that will go live globally. More on this here below.

Last month, we saw the tiniest sneak peek at the Indominus Rex, the terrifying new genetically engineered hybrid dinosaur making its big-screen debut in this summer’s Jurassic World. The film’s recent Super Bowl Spot also gave a glimpse at the new big baddie, which was created in the film by Hammond Creation Lab for the Jurassic Word theme park to be the most frightening dinosaur ever displayed.

On Saturday at the NY Toy Fair, Hasbro revealed their Jurassic World toy line, which included the first look at their new battery-operated Indominus Rex figure. Check out the photos here below, provided by Hasbro, of the new Indominus Rex, as well as all their Jurassic World toys, including figures, battle sets, and more for raptors like tyrannosaurus rex, stegasaurus, dilophosaurus, ceratosaurus, and others to be seen in the film.
