A group of enthusiastic pranksters going by the name of Trollstation out of the UK decided to find out just who thinks they are worthy of the power of the Mighty Thor. Just in time for this week’s U.S. release of Avengers: Age of Ultron (the film has been out a week in the UK), the prank basically entailed someone using some heavy duty adhesive to glue a replica of Mjolnir, the famed weapon of Thor, to some concrete in a public square. Passersby then tried to determine their worthiness by attempting to lift the “magic” hammer.
The concept is based on the famous inscription from the Marvel comics stating “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” Of course the hammer now mentions that if he OR she be worthy, and in the video, plenty of women gave the challenge a try themselves.
From the looks of it, we puny mortals should probably just leave the heavy lifting to the Asgardians. That and apparently wearing a jacket seems to have an effect on our worthiness. Check out the video here below.

It’s a carry-on suitcase with an R2-D2 design and it’s so adorable! It’s airline regulation size, has a retractable handle, and 360-degree swivel wheels.
The rolling bag is available now through ThinkGeek for $79.99.

Geeky music videos are nothing new, but they very rarely get old. Especially when they’re as catchy as this.
Back in 2004, H.P. Mendoza released his first album, titled Everything is Pop. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its release, here’s the music video for the album’s geek anthem, “In Ten Years.” It’s a video that’s sure to spark great feelings of nostalgia in most of you, with nods to old video games, movies, technology, and even fashion…while anyone younger might find themselves staring at the computer rather confused at days gone by.

Every month I patiently await my happy little Box of Dread from Dread Central. The boxes, which are filled with all sorts of horror regalia, come delivered monthly to your door. In the past few months, I received DVDs, toys, stickers, posters, buttons, etc. Not every box will contain the exact same things (some do), but will have similar themes.
This month happens to be October, which for horror fans means Christmas has come early and Halloween is here. It also means to return to television for arguably horror’s most popular show, AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Continue reading for more on this month’s Box of Dread, and to see some images and unboxing videos.

The Ukrainian Internet Party is pushing for reform in the upcoming parliamentary elections, and who better than the Dark Lord of The Sith, Darth Vader, from Star Wars to get things done!
The former Jedi and evil henchmen for the Galactic Empire (or at least someone dressed like him) is running in the upcoming parliamentary elections there as a legitimate candidate. Vader even has an ad campaign making rounds on the internet this week featuring beautiful fields (not unlike Naboo), a horse, and even a traditional Russian instrument being played by Lord Vader to a familiar stirring tune.
