Mad Magazine, the long-running humor magazine, which sliced sacred cows of every facet of life from the left, right and the middle, announced last week that it is ceasing publication after its August issue. For many generations of fans who grew up with and were heavily if not solely influenced by the magazine in their youth, the announcement closes a chapter in the annals of American humor.

While I’m not a big survival horror fan, and have only played a couple of Resident Evil games briefly, there was no denying that the recently released Resident Evil 2 remake looked pretty awesome. Watching a couple of videos of it on YouTube I was introduced to an intimidating character called Mr. X, someone fans of the series are very familiar with.
Mr. X, also known as T-00, is part of the Tyrant T-103 series of superhuman “bio-organic weapons” produced using clones of the T-102 series which were altered. In the Resident Evil 2 remake, he’s basically a giant, murderous Mr. Freeze dressed like Humphrey Bogart at the end of Casablanca who relentlessly pursues the player. Modders immediately began having fun with the character, replacing him with various things. One such modder figured out a way to make him even more terrifying, by replacing him with none other than Friday the 13th‘s own Jason Voorhees.
Continue below to see a video of Voorhees in the Resident Evil 2 remake, along with some bonus videos.

For a new Google Assistant holiday ad Macaulay Culkin has reprised his role as Kevin McCallister from Home Alone.
In the ad a much older McCallister revisits some moments from his time alone in the house as a child, this time with a little help from some handy technological advancements.

With Avengers: Infinity War set to be released tomorrow, the cast is busy running around to promote it.
One of their stops was to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where they created their very own version of the theme song from The Brady Bunch, which was dubbed “The Marvel Bunch.”

I think we can all agree, the rise of fitness-minded products, services, and trendy exercise activities (like goat yoga or punk rock aerobics) is a topic that’s rife with potential for ridicule and humor.
That’s also the basis behind new web series Gym Buddies, which follows the tale of Aparna (Nikita Redkar), a social-media obsessed millennial stereotype in her 20s, as she sets out on a huge healthy lifestyle change prompted by a recent breakup. She enlist her best friend Quinn (Chelsea Lane) to be her designated gym bud, to which Quinn begrudgingly agrees to.
You can check out the first three (of five) episodes below, including the most recent musical episode “Internet Plan.”
