The Gold Box spotlight deal of the day over at Amazon today is the James Bond Blu-ray box set called Bond 50: The Complete 23 Film Collection with Skyfall for $99.99 (that’s 67% the list price of $299.99).

This 24-disc Blu-ray box set contains all 23 of the 007 movies, including the most recent Skyfall, along with several hours of bonus material, including audio commentaries, deleted scenes, screen tests, documentaries, and promotional materials. In Skyfall, James Bond (Daniel Craig) fails to recover a drive containing sensitive information, resulting in the exposure of undercover NATO agents in terrorist organizations.

Meanwhile, the enigmatic criminal mastermind Silva (Javier Bardem) orchestrates an attack on MI6 headquarters that kills several agents.

Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee Gareth Mallory (Ralph Finnes) raises concerns about M’s (Judi Dench) competence as head of the Secret Intelligence Service. It seems the only person who can restore M’s reputation is Bond. James Bond.

Directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road), Skyfall is the 23rd installment of the long-running spy series, featuring an all-star ensemble that includes Naomie Harris as Eve, Ben Whishaw as Q, Bérénice Marlohe as Sévérine, and Albert Finney as Kincade.

Martin Campbell’s 2006 film, Casino Royale, rebooted the James Bond series, establishing a new timeline and narrative framework, allowing the film to show a less experienced, more vulnerable Bond. The film introduced Daniel Craig (Layer Cake) and was praised for its dark, realistic reboot of the series – in the spirit of Batman Begins.

Watch Now: ‘Goldeneye 007: Reloaded’ Multiplayer Trailer

What have we got for you today? Why, it’s a new trailer for the multiplayer mode of Goldeneye 007: Reloaded. That’s right, there’s another new version of Goldeneye, the N64 classic shooter, and it will be out on November 1, 2011, this time for PS3 and Xbox 360. Reloaded is a remastering of the Wii version that was released last year. The game has received a facelift thanks to a new engine and an HD upgrade. The new version also has support for the Playstation Move.

UPDATED: ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ Star Freida Pinto Is The Next ‘Bond’ Girl; Sam Mendes To Reinvent Genre

Last month it was announced that director Tarsem Singh had cast Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto in his upcoming Greek mythology film, War of Gods. If that wasn’t enough for the budding actress, she has now landed an always coveted role: the world famous Bond Girl.

Pinto has been cast as the female lead opposite of returning star Daniel Craig in the upcoming 23rd installment in the massive James Bond franchise, which has now entered its truly astounding 6th decade of feature films. This latest chapter in the adventures of the super-suave spy will be directed by Sam Mendes, who is best known for fantastic films like American Beauty, Road to Perdition, and Revolutionary Road. Mendes has always been more of an awards-worthy film maker to date, and it looks like he’s ready to finally have a little fun with this new project.
