As we are nearing the end of the summer blockbuster season, we are seeing the films that studios felt couldn’t stand up to the likes of the tentpole juggernauts. 20th Century Fox will be rolling out Hitman: Agent 47 in just a couple of weeks, and now they have just revealed a new trailer. Based on the successful video game franchise of the same name, the new trailer shows more of those crazy video game action sequences adapted for the big screen. We also get a few more details behind Zachary Quinto‘s character, and what his motivations are in the film.
Last month, 20th Century Fox released the second official trailer for Hitman: Agent 47, the second film based on the massively popular Hitman video game franchise. Timothy Olyphant starred as the barcoded assassin in the first film based on the game, released in 2007, but this time around will see Homeland and The Young Victoria star Rupert Friend putting on the trademark black suit with a blood-red tie.
With 47 days to go before the movie hits theaters, Fox has kicked off today their “47 Days Of Hitman: Agent 47” promotion with a new 1-minute video.

Almost one year ago it was reported that Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker would be playing Agent 47 in a new attempt at turning the hit video game series Hitman into a movie. Timothy Olyphant had previously tried his hand at the role, in a movie that ultimately underwhelmed.
Fans of the game were not very excited by the news that Walker was taking on the character next, but no one would have guessed at the time that less than a year later Walker would be gone. Now comes word that Fox has found their replacement for the late actor in the movie, which is titled Agent 47. According to reports, Rupert Friend has entered into negotiations for the role of the well-dressed assassin.
