The legend of King Arthur has existed for well over a millennia, and as such has given way to countless interpretations of stories, TV shows, and films. So while we may be familiar with the name, there will always be a new way to look at the legend, a new way to tell the story, and a new way to rake in the cash. So just as superheroes are popular now, Guy Ritchie is giving audiences a reason to look at iconic literary characters. But while his previous efforts from the Sherlock Holmes films to The Man From U.N.C.L.E. may have been richly stylized and highly entertaining, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword suffers from a serious case of style over substance.
By now we should all be familiar with Guy Ritchie‘s visually epic retelling of King Arthur. But just in case the previous trailers have flown under your radar, Warner Bros. has just dropped a new trailer for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword starring Charlie Hunnam as the boy who would be king.
Yup. This is no ordinary story about King Arthur. The film centers on our title character born into royalty only to live in a brothel after his father was betrayed by one of his most trusted men. Check out the full trailer below.
Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword starring Charlie Hunnam as the legendary King Arthur. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film centers on the title character’s rise to become the rightful king and overthrow the villainous Vortigern (Jude Law) who rules with an iron fist.
While we can expect to see a few respectful nods to the source material, Ritchie makes sure that you are watching a King Arthur movie unlike any other. Check out the full trailer here below.
