Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Interview: Stars Anna Paquin, Sam Elliot, AJ Buckley
  |  @   |

Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur may not look like it at first, but it does have some aspects of a Western that you would see in the rarely seen genre. In the upcoming animated film, Sam Elliot (Tombstone, Justified), Anna Paquin (True Blood, X-Men: Days of Future Past), and AJ Buckley (Justified, Narcos) provide the voices for Butch, Ramsey, and Nash, respectively, a family of T-Rexes who also happen to be cattle ranchers. They are just like any family in a western film, they have a very deep bond with each other, and are fascinated by the incredible stories their father tells. Together, they help Arlo get home, as long as the skittish apatosaurus is able to help them draw out some nasty rustlers who are stealing their cattle.

Geeks Of Doom was invited to sit down with the three film stars along with a group of our fellow journalists during the press day for The Good Dinosaur. During that time, the three actors talked about how weird Pop Vinyls look, finding the voice and the roars to their characters, being a part of the Pixar legacy, and much more. Check out our interview with the three actors here below.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ Trailer 2: “I’m Done Being Scared”
  |  @   |

Disney and Pixar have released the second full-length trailer for The Good Dinosaur. The film sees Arlo, a meek apatosaurus become separated from his family. Lost and alone, Arlo befriends a human, and together they go on an unforgettable adventure to find his family, coming across all sorts of dinosaurs they have never seen before along the way. The film puts a twist on the story of a human and his pet dog, with Arlo taking the place of the owner, and the human, appropriately named Spot, as the dog.

The newest trailer features all new never-before-seen footage, and gives us more exposition than the previous trailers ever did. Check out the latest trailer for the film below.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ International TV Spot Gives Pixar’s Dinos Some Voices
  |  @   |

Of all the The Good Dinosaur trailers that we have seen so far, none of them had any dialogue. While the film touts an eclectic cast, some began to wonder if Pixar’s upcoming feature would be like Wall-E. During their panel at D23 Expo, we finally got to hear some of the film’s voicework through a series of clips, and hear what Sam Elliot, Anna Paquin, and AJ Buckley sounded like as Pixarized T-Rexes. However, if you didn’t get a chance to see the footage a month ago, a newly released international TV spot offers you the chance to hear some of the talent at work, and provides some context as to how Arlo (Raymond Ochoa) gets separated from his pack.

Check out the latest TV spot for The Good Dinosaur here below.

D23 Expo 2015: ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Brings Prehistoric Tears
  |  @   |

The first Pixar film to be presented at Disney’s D23 Expo on Friday during the studio’s portion of the animation panel was The Good Dinosaur. Peter Sohn (Partly Cloudy) makes his feature directing debut on Pixar’s first prehistoric film about Arlo, an apatosaurus who becomes separated from his family, and sets off on a journey that will make him grow stronger physically and as a dinosaur.

In The Good Dinosaur, our lead character Arlo is not as strong as his dinosaur siblings, drawing his strength from his father. Unfortunately, his father passes on, and we learn that Arlo eventually becomes separated from his family. The clip that was shown reveals the treacherous waters that nearly drown him. Luckily, he is able to be washed ashore, where he eventually comes across a human named Spot.

‘The Good Dinosaur’ Trailer: Pixar’s Dazzling Visuals Crystalize
  |  @   |

The first trailer for The Good Dinosaur gave us a small tease of what’s to come from Pixar’s latest, revealing only a tiny portion of the plot and lacking any dialogue. Though it did give us a look at the gorgeous North American-inspired landscape the animators created just for the film.

Now Disney has released a full theatrical trailer for the film, which reveals a more detailed plot, and the relationship between Arlo, the dino-sized protagonist of the film, and his friend, Spot, a tiny fearless human boy. Check the trailer and a newly released image out below.
