James Gandolfini’s Son Cast As Young Tony Soprano In ‘The Sopranos’ Prequel ‘The Many Saints Of Newark’

As The Sopranos celebrates its 20th anniversary, the cast of New Line’s prequel movie titled The Many Saints of Newark is coming together.

Last week we found out that Jon Bernthal and Vera Farmiga were joining Alessandro Nivola on the cast. Now an actor has been chosen for a major role—the role of a young Tony Soprano, who was played on the original HBO series by the late James Gandolfini. It’s being reported that Michael Gandolfini, James Gandolfini’s son, has been chosen to play the character.

Amazon Sets Premiere Date For Sci-Fi Anthology Series ‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’

We found out earlier this year that a sci-fi anthology series titled Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams was coming to Amazon from Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Cranston.

Now Amazon has set an official premiere date for the anthology, which features an excellent cast including Cranston, Steve Buscemi, Greg Kinnear, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Timothy Spall, Maura Tierney, Janelle Monáe, Richard Madden, Holliday Grainger, Mel Rodriguez, Liam Cunningham, Vera Farmiga, Juno Temple, Jack Reynor, Essie Davis, Benedict Wong, Geraldine Chaplin, David Lyons, Annalise Basso, Mireille Enos, and Rachelle Lefevre.

Future Of The ‘Terminator’ Franchise In Question

Terminator Genisys was supposed to be the film to help revive the franchise into the mega-blockbuster one that it was known for. But nearly three weeks after its release, the film continues to struggle at the domestic box office, and is only faring well overseas. The fifth installment in the franchise has grossed $278 million at the box office. But when taking into account the $155 million production budget, and the promotional budget, it would seem that Terminator Genisys is just another disaster for the franchise and the studio.

Paramount has scheduled two Terminator sequels to be released in 2017 and 2018, but there is a new report saying that the future of the franchise is uncertain. More on the story below.

Directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), Terminator Genisys is the fifth film in the Terminator series. It’s also the franchise’s nadir — just in case you thought it couldn’t get any worse than Jonathan Mostow’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) or McG’s Terminator Salvation (2009).

In the year 2029, John Connor (Jason Clarke) leads the human resistance against the machines. Here’s the thing about this franchise that boggles my mind: why do studios and screenwriters insist on making this goddamn series about Future John Connorâ„¢?
