‘Dark Phoenix’ Trailer: The X-Men Go Up Against The Almighty Power Of The Phoenix
Dark Phoenix, the latest installment in the X-Men film franchise, was supposed to be released in November. But the film needed some additional photography and reshoots, and as a result, it pushed the release date to February of next year. Whether or not this was a sign of trouble is unknown. But at least we get to finally see what has become of Simon Kinberg‘s directorial debut.
Fox has dropped the first trailer for Dark Phoenix, which is based on the story arc of the same name which sees Jean Grey, one of the most powerful members of the X-Men, fuse with a cosmic entity who has the power to destroy the entire galaxy. Check out the trailer and a new poster below.

Geek Peek: First Look At ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ (Images)
And this time, we will get it right. Or at least we can hope that Simon Kinberg gets it right as he makes his directorial debut with X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which as you could have guessed, will be a loose adaptation of the “Dark Phoenix Saga” comics storyline written by Chris Claremont. Though, this wouldn’t be the first time that the X-Men franchise has attempted Dark Phoenix in a film. In 2006, X-Men: The Last Stand tried to use a resurrected Jean Grey (then played by Famke Janssen) as the Dark Phoenix who was being manipulated by Magneto (then played by Ian McKellen).
Now with the film franchise’s timeline being rebooted, we can look forward to some wrongs being righted. We are getting our first look at Dark Phoenix, which includes our very first peek at Jessica Chastain‘s villainous character. Check them out below.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer: Michael Fassbender Helps Oscar Isaac Cleanse The Earth
The world needs the X-Men, again. Fox has just released the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. Though the title heroes of Marvel have faced many mutant and human threats before, they have never faced one as powerful as the world’s first mutant, Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). Now, after awakening from a great slumber, Apocalypse has gained the powers of a god, and recruits Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and three other powerful mutants to be his Horseman to help him cleanse the Earth of humans.
So it’s up to Professor Xavier’s (James McAvoy) students to stop them from succeeding. Foes are now allies and former friends believe in the gospel according to Apocalypse. Check out the full trailer below.
