New ‘Aquaman’ Video Offers A Peek Behind The Scenes

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new behind-the-scenes video for Aquaman, the upcoming DC Extended Universe title directed by James Wan and starring Jason Momoa as the title character.

The video features plenty of cool peeks behind the curtain, including looks at some of the awesome sets and costumes and such that were created, along with Wan, Momoa, and co-stars Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, and Willem Dafoe talking about the movie.

‘Aquaman’ Extended Look: Jason Momoa Finds Out What It Takes To Be Greater Than A King

Warner Bros. released an extended look at James Wan‘s Aquaman. Based on the DC hero of the same name, the film finds Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) having to save the world from an underwater threat while also struggling to find his identity as a surface dweller and an Atlantean. While the film may not be out for a few more months, the new extended video gives us a look at all the action and exposition of the film, which will make all the previous films look like tiny fish. SDCC 2018: ‘Aquaman’ Trailer: The King Of Atlantis Makes A Splashy Return

Aquaman may not have had the best introduction in Justice League, but the easily mocked character will get a chance to prove himself in his own film Aquaman. James Wan is at the helm for the latest superhero epic, which will see Jason Momoa reprising his role as Arthur Curry, a man who is both a human and an Atlantean, who must return to his undersea home to stop his half-brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson) from going to war with the surface dwellers.

The cast and Wan were over at San Diego Comic-Con to talk a little bit about Aquaman, but more importantly, give us the first trailer for the film. Prepare for plenty of jumping the shark moments. Check out the trailer below.

Geek Peek: ‘Aquaman’ Image Reels In First Look At Djimon Hounsou As The Fisherman King

Could Djimon Hounsou be the person to save DC films? It sure does seem like it. The actor, who has already signed on to play an ancient wizard in Shazam! who gives Billy Batson his powers, will also appear in Aquaman. Although, not as the Wizard, but as the Fisherman King.

And now, we are getting our first look at the character in a recently released image. You can check it out below, along with a brand new poster which includes a date for when we’ll get to see a trailer.

‘Aquaman’ Photos and Director James Wan’s Vision For The Underwater Hero

The DCEU is undergoing a rebrand in the wake of Justice League‘s flop. And directors are taking note of distancing themselves from the film with stories that serve the characters rather than lead up to the ensemble event.

While Aquaman may be the only DCEU film to hit theaters later this year, WB is now releasing a batch of new images from the upcoming film. In addition, director James Wan spoke about his vision for the character and why the film will distance itself from Justice League. More on the story below.
