Aquaman may be one of the most iconic superheroes in the DC lineup, but the character himself has a reputation for being one of the silliest superheroes. Furthermore, his introduction in Zach Snyder’s Justice League did not do him any favors. That being said, Jason Momoa‘s portrayal was a radical change for the one-dimensional pasty white hero. Instead, we got something that truly represented the character’s struggle of living in two worlds while acknowledging his overall cheesiness.
This helped lay the foundation for his own standalone film. Directed by James Wan, Aquaman sees the return of Momoa playing the aquatic eponymous hero in a globe-trotting superhero epic. By embracing many of the title character’s foibles and cheesiness, the film turns out to be one of the best DCEU entries to date. And while that is an easy bar to cross over, its world-building and willingness to have fun expands the cinematic universe and opens the door for the DCEU to explore bold and new possibilities. Check out my review of Aquaman here below.

‘Aquaman’ Sequel Already In Development
This isn’t as shocking as getting doused with a cold bucket of water, but Aquaman is getting a sequel. The film is already on track to earn $65 million in its opening weekend. Julie Andrews To Make A Splashy Entrance In James Wan’s Aquaman
A Julie Andrews cameo in Mary Poppins Returns would make a lot of sense since the singer and actress was the star of the original film. However, Andrews confirmed that she would not appear in the follow-up starring Emily Blunt as to not take away her spotlight. So Andrews has settled for a different kind of role. A very unlikely one. According to a new report, Andrews will be lending her voice talents to James Wan‘s Aquaman. More on the report below.

‘Aquaman’ Trailer: See The Legendary Protector Of The Deep 5 Days Early
Sure, Aquaman may have had a terrible introduction in Justice League, but the character’s standalone film promises to be the kind of epic that befits a king. And a king would not be king if he didn’t give to the people, if you are an Amazon Prime member that is. So Amazon Prime members will get to see Aquaman five days before its theatrical release. Additionally, there is a brand new trailer that will prove this will be something worth watching. More on the early release plus the trailer here below.
