  |  @   |

If it’s a week day, and you’re bored”¦ Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailers are the perfect medicine, so here’s a new one.

Marvel is pretty much untouchable lately. 2014 brought us the most fun superhero movie since the original Avengers in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and they’ve already scored in 2015 with Netflix’s Daredevil series. This week is one close to my heart. A movie heatedly debated between me and my friend Chris for YEARS! With Avengers: Age of Ultron premiering this Friday, May 1st, let’s travel back to 2003 to mock one of the biggest Marvel flops, Ang Lee’s Hulk!

“You loved Mark Ruffalo. You tolerated Edward Norton. But admit it; you forgot about Eric Bana until I said his name just now.”

Check out that video and a bonus one here below.

Based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Yann Martel, Life of Pi is directed by Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain) from an adapted screenplay by David Magee (Finding Neverland) and Martin Solibakke.

Lee’s film stars Suraj Sharma (who makes his acting debut) as Pi, a 16-year-old boy stranded at sea after the steamliner carrying his family’s zoo sinks during a terrifying and astonishing storm.

Pi finds himself trapped on a lifeboat with a fearsome (and hungry) Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. Over the course of months, the two unlikely castaways must depend on each other to survive.

Life of Pi is one of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful, visually staggering films I have ever seen. And while I’ve been known for uncontrollable fits of exaggeration and hyperbole, I have never been so sure of my own amazement. The cinematography by Claudio Miranda (Tron: Legacy, Zodiac) combined with Lee’s masterful use of 3D make Life of Pi a mind-blowing cinematic journey.

Vulture is reporting that talks between Fincher and Sony Pictures have broken down, and Fincher has now taken himself out of the director’s spot. The studio does however have a couple of candidates in mind that could replace Fincher.

Among those Sony is considering is Academy Award-winning Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain). However, the report says that no official offer has been made nor has anyone entered negotiations.
