A24 has released a second official trailer for Ari Aster‘s horror film Hereditary.
The film stars Toni Collette as a mother who discovers that her family heritage holds sinister dark secrets. And all of that is about to unravel when her mother, the matriarch of the family, passes away. Check out the new trailer below.
A24 has released an official trailer for Hereditary, an upcoming horror starring Toni Collette, Milly Shapiro, Alex Wolff, Ann Dowd, and Gabriel Byrne. It’s directed by Ari Aster, who is making his feature debut.
The movie follows a family uncovering secrets about their ancestry, which grow more and more terrifying as they dig deeper. I’ll get to the point first: The Handmaid’s Tale, as adapted by Hulu, is an excellent production and one well worth any TV lover’s time. Elisabeth Moss, an actress who spent nearly a decade understanding how female characters manage a life of oppression under male domination, uses her time on Mad Men to translate a fictional written diary into an uncompromising television reality.
With that out of the way, there’s a lot to unpack regarding the several episodes we took in before the show’s wide release on Wednesday, May 26. Hulu works in the best spirit of this current golden age of television. It presents an audience that’s hungry for thought-provoking content with a story that resonates with our current, unprecedented unique political climate.

It was announced recently that Alexis Bledel was added to the cast as Ofglen, one of the Handmaids. The Gilmore Girls star joins Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, and O-T Fagbenle for the 10-episode series, which will premiere on the Hulu streaming service on April 26, 2017.
