The 2019 Emmy Awards ceremony was held on Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and for the first time in its 71 year history, there was no host. An animated Homer Simpson, everyone’s favorite TV dad, tried to open the annual TV event, though that was short-lived when a giant piano fell on him. This left Anthony Anderson scrambling to put things together and Bryan Cranston to talk about the history of TV.
Winners included Game of Thrones, Fleabag, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Check out the full list of nominees with winners in bold here below.

As we settle into 2019, HBO has released a video previewing the year ahead with first looks at many of their upcoming new series and seasons.
The video includes peeks at the much-anticipated final season of Game of Thrones, Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen TV series, new series Euphoria, upcoming miniseries Chernobyl and Catherine the Great, and new Big Little Lies, Veep, True Detective, Barry, Succession, and Divorce seasons.
One of the newest HBO series, Barry, set off on its maiden voyage recently. Joining it was a returning favorite, Silicon Valley, which kicked off its fifth season.
Fans of the shows, new and old, didn’t have to spend much time worrying about whether or not there would be future seasons, as HBO recently announced that they have ordered both Barry season two and Silicon Valley season six.
