DCEU: Geoff Johns and John Berg Bring Hope For WB’s DC Films
  |  @   |

Warner Bros. released two more DC Extended Universe films this year — Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, both of which performed modestly at the box office but were poorly received by critics alike. But since Geoff Johns and Jon Berg came in as co-heads for the DCEU, Wonder Woman and Justice League have never looked more promising. The two upcoming films look to be straying away from the grim and dark tone set up with the previous movies, including the one that launched the current DCEU, Man of Steel. And now we are getting a better picture of how their influence will impact the future of the DCEU films. Check out what they had to say here below.

‘Wonder Woman’ & ‘The Flash’: Why We Should Still Have Faith In The DCEU
  |  @   |

So far, Warner Bros.’ film entries in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) have come up a bit short of expectations, with both critics and audiences alike disappointed in the studio’s most recent offerings, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.

After these movies were critically panned and audiences were less than thrilled, fans and those involved in the filmmaking process were quick to defend the respective films citing that they wasn’t made for critics. An easy argument to make, especially when films like these get completely railroaded by critics. ‘Batman v Superman’ Ultimate Edition Trailer Is Nothing Like Theatrical Cut
  |  @   |

Given what our reviews have said about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, how will an extra 30 minutes help the Ultimate Edition? While there was a lot of missing information from the theatrical cut, a newly released trailer to promote the Blu-ray seems to fill in some of the plot holes giving us hope that maybe this was the film that was supposed to be released in the first place.

We’ve already seen one tiny glimpse of the Ultimate Edition which supposedly has an Easter Egg to the main villain in Justice League, but this trailer seems to focus more on filling in those gaps with never-before-seen footage. Check out the trailer below.
