Warning – SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Season 6…

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead, Episode 6.13 “The Same Boat,” focused only Carol and Maggie, who had been taken captive by a small sect of The Saviors, Negan’s people. Last week, Rick and his team had invaded what they believed to be Negan’s compound for a deadly sneak attack, which was their end of the deal they made with the Hilltop people. Carol and Maggie had been guarding the perimeter while the rest of the group invaded the compound and massacred its sleeping occupants, blurring the lines between right and wrong.

It was obvious leading up to this ambush that Carol, who went from being a meek and battered housewife to a total badass warrior, was having a crisis of conscience of sorts. She had realized that the number of people (that’s live humans, not Walkers) she’s killed is well into double digits, and that the attack on The Saviors was going to lead to total bloodshed. For a long time, Carol, who has been masquerading around the Alexandria Safe Zone as a happy cookie-making homemaker, has had her own code she lived by “” she did what she had to do to survive, even if it meant ending another life, but she didn’t relish in it, which differentiated her from people like the Wolves. But, perhaps now she realizes that the mass slaughter of Negan’s people is far beyond even what she is willing to do.

Last week on The Bastard Executioner, was another dark storm of violence. Milus Corbett (Stephen Moyer) sends Wilkin and Toran (Lee Jones and Sam Spruell) on a seemingly simple robbery mission, coated with blackmail, but end up burning 2 innocents alive. That Corbett… such a trickster! Gaveston (Tom Forbes) brings a pregnancy test to Ventrishire. He does not believe Love (Flora Spencer-Longhurst)… with good reason. Thanks to Wilkin and Annora (Katey Sagal), she is able to satisfy the test, even though he still does not believe it. Love and Wilkin share some feelings and a lingering hug, long enough for Toran and Jessamy (Sarah Sweeney) to see. Uh-oh.

Some spoilers below.

Let’s recap the “Best Laid Plans” from two weeks ago, before we get to Once Upon a Time 4.18 “Heart Of Gold”

The villains are all a twitter trying to find the author so he can rewrite “history” so they can have their happy ending instead of the heroes. In order to do that, they must darken savior Emma’s heart. After much too much effort trying to cover their tracks, Charming and Snow (Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin) finally tell Emma (Jennifer Morrison) what they did in order to ensure her goodness. They took Maleficent’s (Kristin Bauer van Straten) baby and allowed it to be sucked into a portal to another world. I know that means we will eventually run into Maleficent’s spawn, but I’m glad they didn’t outright kill a baby, even though they thought it was just a baby dragon (Khaleesi!). They did release the author who promptly fled.
