There aren’t many words that could effectively describe my level of excitement for The World’s End, the latest movie from director Edgar Wright featuring the tag team of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The movie completes the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, also known as the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, which began in 2004 with zom-rom-com Shaun of the Dead (one of my all-time favorites) and continued with another favorite, 2007’s Hot Fuzz.
The movie follows Gary King (Pegg), a man who’s had trouble with the whole “life” thing and growing up since his high school days. When younger King and his friends—Andy Knightley (Nick Frost), Steven Prince (Paddy Considine), Oliver “O-Man” Chamberlain (Martin Freeman), and Peter Page (Eddie Marsan)—attempted the Golden Mile, a 12-pub, 12-pint quest, but were unable to complete it. Now, 20 years later, he’s on a mission to reunite his friends and complete the task they failed two decades earlier. This is not an easy thing to accomplish as his friends all think rather poorly of King, but he finds a way to make it happen. The reunion goes somewhat smoothly for a bit (as smoothly as they could hope for, anyway), but a random encounter in one of the pubs uncovers some very strange happenings in the town of Newton Haven, and forces the friends to figure out what it is…and also how to get the hell out of there.
In just eleven days, the third entry in Edgar Wright‘s Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy (also known as Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy), The World’s End, hits theaters. And once again, our behind-the-scenes team here at Geeks of Doom HQ has worked to bring our readers a giveaway we know you’ll appreciate.
We’ve partnered with our friends at Focus Features for a very special The World’s End-themed prize pack, which consists of an official The World’s End Pub Crawl T-Shirt, a The World’s End Pint Glass (very appropriate), and a $25 Visa gift card that you can use to see the film!

A new video featurette has been released for The World’s End, the upcoming movie from director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. For those who are unaware, the movie is the third entry in the impromptu Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, also known as the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, which also includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
The video is a little over five minutes in length, and features the film’s cast and crew talking about how the trilogy came to be, as well as some of the things that join the three different movies with different stories and characters into one trilogy.
A pair of new images have been released from the highly anticipate third movie in director Edgar Wright‘s Blood and Ice Cream trilogy, titled The World’s End. It of course follows previous hits Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.
The movie once again stars Simon Pegg as Gary King, a man holding on tightly to his younger years, and Nick Frost as his former best friend and current successful lawyer Andy. Along with fellow childhood friends played by Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) as estate agent Oliver, Paddy Considine (Cinderella Man) as architectural consultant and former rocker Steven, and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) as a car dealer named Peter, they will reunite and set off to accomplish something they had attempted two decades earlier.
Continue on below to read a synopsis and check out the two new images, including one that looks a little more fitting to the apocalyptic events many believe will take place in The World’s End.
The first teaser poster for Edgar Wright‘sThe World’s End was more like a list of pubs the protagonists would like to drink at before the world ends. Every single pub had its own unique name and appropriately fitting font. But that was just the teaser poster.
Now comes yet another teaser poster that sheds more light on the fact that the pub shares its name with a cataclysmic event.
Check out the latest teaser poster for the film below.
