The 91st Annual Academy Awards ceremony was broadcasted live on ABC on Sunday night, February 24, 2018, from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA, this year purposely without a host (and truthfully, it worked beautifully).
Check out the list of all the winners from Oscars 2019, along with several highlights from this year’s Academy Awards ceremony, most of which have accompanying videos.
On Sunday night, Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg hosted the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which was broadcast live on NBC from the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Los Angeles, CA, on January 6, 2019. Many films walked away with nothing, but Green Book snagged a few, while Bohemian Rhapsody won best film drama with its star Rami Malek taking home best actor for his leading role as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody Director: Bryan Singer Writers: Anthony McCarten Cast: Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Tom Hollander, Allen Leech, Mike Myers Studio: 20th Century Fox Rated PG-13 | 134 Minutes Release Date: November 2, 2018
Bohemian Rhapsody buzzes with electricity from the moment Freddie Mercury and the rest of Queen step foot on stage. Watching these musical sequences is like witnessing a legendary act that deserves to be seen live. And although the film did have its production problems, it holds together well thanks to Rami Malek‘s performance as the iconic Freddie Mercury.
Still, no film is without its faults. While the supporting cast is great as they are doing the best with what they are given, the minor issues are not nearly enough to overshadow Malek, who is the beating heart of this film, and the musical performances that will surely have you stomp your foot and clap repeatedly. Check out my review of Bohemian Rhapsody below.
20th Century Fox has released the final trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen. The biopic film, which hits theaters next week, has already been screened for various critics.
And while many have praised Malek’s performance, they also agree that the film suffers from far too by-the-numbers storytelling. However, if none of the behind-the-scenes drama that nearly all bands suffer interests you, then the compilations of songs used with the addition of creating the title song and the Live-Aid final is worth watching. Check out the latest trailer below.
Fox has released the second trailer for the Freddie Mercury and Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. The first trailer was released back in May.
Starring Rami Malek as Mercury, the film looks like it will be yet another conventional biopic covering the ups and downs of the rock legend. However, it does look like Malek is embodying the frontman. Check out the latest trailer below.
