There is a little over a month left before the release of the latest James Bond film Spectre, and there is still plenty of time to do some major promotions. Trailers and TV spots are easy to churn out, but one signature promotion that the Bond films have is the Bond theme.
After months of rumors and speculation, Grammy Award winner Sam Smith was chosen. Unlike most of the previous themes, this title song won’t match with the title of the film. In this case, the song is called “Writing’s On The Wall.” And now you can hear the song in its entirety here below.
There was a lot of speculation as to who would be singing the iconic title theme song for the next James Bond film Spectre. The title theme song has been a staple of the James Bond film franchise, with the exception of Dr. No which had two songs.
Since then famous artists from around the globe have sung the title tracks, and now Sony Pictures has announced that Grammy winning artist Sam Smith will be singing the next Bond theme titled “Writing’s On the Wall.” Check out the official announcement below.
Director Sam Mendes revealed the title this morning live from Pinewood Studios in the UK. You can watch the video of the announcement here below, and also check out the new teaser poster.
Main cast members and their roles for Spectre, which hits theaters on November 6, 2015, were also revealed.
Dave Bautista showed audiences that he can be much more than a muscle-bound hero in Guardians of the Galaxy, he can play one who is vulnerable. But Bautista is also familiar with playing mercenaries and villains, and it looks like he will play the latter once more in the untitled James Bond 24 film, which is scheduled to begin filming next month.
Details on the plot are sketchy, but it is being reported that Bond 24 is a callback to the classic Bond films that used henchman like Jaws and Oddjob. According to Latino Review, Bautista would be playing a henchman named Hinx. Hit the jump to see a profile description of the character.
