DC Arrowverse has found huge success thanks in no small part to Greg Berlanti, the man who brought us Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. We probably can expect more DC heroes to have their own shows in the near future, but for now, Berlanti will be taking his talents to the big screen again. The creator of the Arrowverse is now writing and developing a Booster Gold film.
While the character seems like something out of left field, it really isn’t out of Berlanti’s wheelhouse considering most of the DC shows he has created focuses on the lesser known heroes. But there is a catch to this news. According to new reports, Booster Gold won’t be a part of the DC Extended Universe. More on the story below.
SyFy has ordered a script on the DC Comics character Booster Gold, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The projected one-hour drama will feature a pilot script written and executive produced by Fringe veteran Andrew Kreisberg and produced by Greg Berlanti‘s Berlanti Productions and Warner Horizon Television. Berlanti will also be an executive producer.
The majority of us are aware that DC Comics characters Booster Gold and Jaime Reyes, The Blue Beetle, will be appearing on a Geoff Johns-scripted episode of the 10-year spanning Superman series Smallville, but what we didn’t know is how a show that swears by their “No tights” policy was going to feature the future timestream-riding Booster Gold and the Scarab-infected Blue Beetle.
And with a little help from TV Guide, we get to see exactly what they are going to look like. Check out the image above of the two superheroes.
