Early First Peek At ‘Borderlands 3’ Tech (Video)
  |  @   |

At the 2017 Game Developers Conference, which is currently taking place in San Francisco, Gearbox Software was on hand to give Borderlands fans a little treat: a very early look at Borderlands 3.

Now, it has to be stressed that this is not a look at the actual game. It’s a tech demo showing off some of the things Gearbox is working on in with Unreal Engine 4, which may or may not make it into future game projects. The demo is, however, clearly Borderlands related. So it’s hard not to assume this is at least a tiny, very early peek at how Borderlands 3 is starting to take shape.

‘Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!’ Announced; Gameplay Video, Screenshots Released
  |  @   |

For the many fans eagerly hoping for the announcement of Borderlands 3, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. A new game in the series has been announced, but it is both a prequel and a sequel fittingly titled Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

The game is set after the events of Borderlands and prior to the events of Borderlands 2 in what sounds like a project that began as DLC and evolved into a full standalone game. Because of this, it will run on the same engine as the last game and will only be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC—not on Xbox One or PS4.

Continue below to see a video of the game being announced, complete with details on the story, the characters you can play as (including Claptrap), and some peeks at gameplay, as well as some screenshots.
