Your humble list maker has been derelict in his duties (heh, duties), but we’re going to push through and bring you a solid line up of books for this week. We’ve got a new series by one of comics’ best writers, an issue from last week that I hope you didn’t miss out on, and some of my personal favorites. My Henchman is on sabbatical this week, so I’ve decided to go solo. If H21 were here, though, I’m sure he’d ramble on about a variety of comics, but he’s not. So, get over it! But enough of all that! I wanted to address to important items that are on my radar this week. Firstly, it’s the week after my birthday and none of you got me anything! I’m so incredibly disappointed in each and every one of you. I spend my time giving you something entertaining to read and this is how you repay me!? In the words of the legendary The Iron Sheik, “::expletive deleted::!” Goodness gracious alive, folks! Anyway, on to the next item on the docket, it’s Wrestlemania week! Everyone celebrate! YAY! CM Punk is going to beat Chris Jericho and that’s a fact, Jack! Oh yeah, this feature is about comics…. Here’s this week’s The GoD List!

Well, well, well! Look whose birthday it is this Saturday! That’s right, it’s not Henchman21’s birthday, it’s MY birthday! Or if you speak dubstep, that’s, “errr i-i-i-i whooom bip bip bip bip wum wum wum beep beep beep whoomp!” There are a lot of great things about my birthday, first thing that comes to mind is that the world celebrates the day that their hero was born unto the Earth. The second being that I celebrate really simply with things like comics! Yes, that’s right, comics! Comics are rad, right? Certainly on par with the radness of professional wrestling, that’s for sure. And really, is there anything radder than comics or professional wrestling? Let me go ahead and answer that for you. No, there’s not. So, don’t get those facts twisted inside your head. Right! So, comics are really awesome and there are awesome comics coming out TODAY, so why don’t you read this, what we like to call The GoD List, and pick up all of these fine comics from your local comic shop OR on a digital format like Comixology? There’s not a single reason for you not to, so go ahead and do it! For me? Thanks! Also, thanks in advance for getting me things.

Each and every week “Hey, How Ya Doin’?” Henchman21 and “Mustard Head” MK2FAC3 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible… theoretically. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? This week boasts a load of titles that fit all sorts of niches for all comic book fans. There are titles hitting stores this week like the Comics of Doom-approved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Bionic Man, as well as the latest installments of Daredevil and Invincible. But as great as all of those books are bound to be, they didn’t make it to The GoD List. So then, what did? Well let me give you some hints, two are DC “New 52” titles picked by MK2FAC3, one of which is written by Jill Thompson’s husband. Another comic is a comic based on a movie that’s based on other movies that were based on a television series, while one is B.P.R.D.. And the last book is a go-to “Classic McDavid” pick. Continue on to see just why we picked these books.
