The highly anticipated FOX series The Gifted premiered its first episode last week, and has already received much acclaim for what is being called a solid start to the Marvel show. Set in the same Marvel universe as the X-Men films and loosely connected to FX’s Legion, The Gifted “tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers,” FOX says. Geeks Of Doom had the chance this weekend to sit down and interview stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Percy Hynes White at New York Comic-Con 2017.

‘The Gifted’ Trailer: FOX Has Their Own ‘X-Men’ TV Show
  |  @   |

First, it was Legion. Now it’s The Gifted. Just as Marvel has expanded their little movie universe by taking a step into TV, so has FOX with their X-Men properties. Though these shows then to vary between praises and criticisms, nothing is really going to stop them from being made. So in order to stop from being repetitive, Fox’s The Gifted gets a new angle. A family on the run with their father who used to work for the very people who are chasing them.

While it’s a premise we’ve seen before, the added mix of a child with special powers does provide a new Marvel twist. And that may just be the thing to make this show a hit.

Check out the full trailer below.
