Video: Disney-Pixar Putt Pop-Up In NYC & Interview With Emma Berman From ‘Luca’
  |  @   |

A new destination attraction just opened in Battery Park in lower Manhattan. Pixar Putt is a Disney Pixar-inspired mini golf course located next to Pier A with views of the Statue of Liberty and The Freedom Tower on either side. The pop-up comes on the heels of Pixar’s latest film Luca, which premiered on Disney Plus earlier this Summer and was just released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Celebrating the opening of Pixar Putt, Emma Berman, Giulia in Luca, was there to play a few holes and answer some of our questions.

Emma, who just turned 13, is making her big screen debut in Luca and instantly became a fan favorite, especially with my 10-year-old daughter. You can check out our full video interview below.

‘Cars 3’ Cast On Dreaming Big and How One Person Can Make All The Difference
  |  @   |

Pixar’s Cars 3 is a huge change of pace for the franchise. The film sees Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) blindsided when a new generation of faster, more powerful, and younger racers join the racing circuit. Determined to stay in the sport that he loves, Lightning goes through a new-age training regiment with the help of Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo), an eager young technician who has her own plans for winning. And while they might not agree on which training method works, they discover they need each other to reach their goals more than they realized.

We were fortunate enough to attend the press day of Pixar’s latest animated film where the attendees talked about who inspires them, some of their personal struggles, how one person can make the difference, and more. Check out what they had so say here below.

Movie Review: Cars 3

Cars 3

One of the things that continues to impress me about Pixar’s Cars franchise is its resiliency and heart. Though it is considered to be one of Pixar’s weakest franchises, it managed to become a trilogy. It may not resonate as much with fans as some other Pixar films do, but Cars has continually shown that it has what it takes to be great. Even if it that means it needed to take two “very safe” films to get there. So Cars 3 doesn’t take any huge risks, it takes an unconventional approach to possibly ending Lightning McQueen’s (Owen Wilson) story.

While that is a bit refreshing for the franchise, it does come with its own set of issues and concerns. All of it depends on how you look at it. Check out my full review below.

Check Out The Honest Trailer For ‘Cars’ / ‘Cars 2’
  |  @   |

With Pixar trying to ring the cash register again with Cars 3 next week, the gang at Screen Junkies decided to tackle the original 2006 film for their Honest Trailer. Solely based on the strength of the name Pixar, this movie somehow earned over $460 million worldwide. In full disclosure, I never saw Cars and never cared to. This was during the time where my younger sister was too old for kids movies, and I was yet to have kids so animation was kinda dead to me as a moviegoer. And when Cars 2 came out in 2011, all I ever heard about that one was, “it’s the worst Pixar movie ever.” Anyway, because… apparently someone demanded it, we’re getting a trilogy. So sit back and watch as narrator Jon Bailey shreds some of the lesser material in the Pixar catalog.

Check out the Honest Trailer below.
